Jerusalem Deputy Mayor named Israel’s Special Envoy for Innovation

Fleur Hassan Nahoum, who was raised in Gibraltar, has served as Deputy Mayor of Jerusalem since 2018.

Foreign  Minister Eli Cohen announced on Wednesday that Jerusalem Deputy Mayor Fleur Hassan Nahoum will be Israel’s new Special Envoy for Innovation. 

Nahoum, who was raised in Gibraltar, has served as Deputy Mayor of Jerusalem since 2018.

“Fleur is the founder of the UAE Israel  Business Council and has worked tirelessly to strengthen the Jerusalem  Innovation ecosystem,” Cohen said.

Nahoum said she was “incredibly honoUred to receive this appointment and look forward to amplifying this message on a global scale, together with the team of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in full collaboration with the incredible Israeli innovation ecosystem.”

Moshe Lion Mayor of Jerusalem congratulated Nahoum on her new appointment, saying she has done “wonders for the innovation ecosystem of Jerusalem and I have no doubt she will now do this for Israel on a global scale representing us with honour and professionalism.”
