A package of discounts will now be available to young travellers exploring Jerusalem’s attractions, including reductions on accommodation, restaurants and tourist sites.

Targeted at millennials in their twenties and thirties, the Jerusalem Development Authority (JDA)’s package  aims to let visitors experience Israel’s capital for under £35 (40 Euros) a day.

The offer, which includes a free tour of the Old City, includes reduced rates at some of Jerusalem’s top attractions, with discounts on hotels, transport, historical sites, festivals, restaurants and bars.

City Break Millennials package is being partnered by two hostels and six hotels, all of which are in the centre of Jerusalem.

Ilanit Melchior, Director of Tourism for the Jerusalem Development Authority told Jewish News: “We are delighted to launch our millennials discount package, which offers millennial travellers an opportunity to discover Jerusalem for under 40 Euros per day. A short hop from Europe, the discounts opens up Jerusalem to a whole new and important market and we are excited to welcome tourists in their 20s and 30s to our beautiful city, to experience fascinating historical attractions, rich culture and world class restaurants.”
