Jewish anti-Zionist has suspension lifted amid Labour’s probe into ‘Palestine Live’ group

Jewish anti-Zionist Glyn Secker has been readmitted to Labour, following a probe by the party into allegations of anti-Semitism in a Facebook group.

The veteran activist was subject to “Administrative Suspension” last week, after it became apparent he had been a member of the ‘Palestine Live’ forum.

The group, which was exposed by blogger David Collier to contain anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial in a 280-page report last week, led to the party taking action against those implicated.

On Monday, Labour’s head of disputes wrote to the 74-year-old activist telling him his administrative suspension had been lifted.

The letter said the suspension “was taken in light of the publication of the report into the Palestine Live Facebook group. It was important that the allegations relating this group were investigated.

“Having fully reviewed the evidence available to the Party, it would not be in the Party’s interests to pursue further disciplinary action in relation to this matter.

“Your administrative suspension has therefore been lifted.”
