Jewish Blind and Disabled open new state-of-the-art building

A new state-of-the-art development for disabled adults was officially opened in Bushey this week by Jewish Blind and Disabled. Built at a cost of £10.6m donated by supporters, Cecil Rosen Court features 41 apartments plus a guest suite for visiting family.

Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis led Tuesday’s consecration service for the facility, which was named after the charity’s founder.

“Without developments like Cecil Rosen Court, residents would have no choice either to be dependant on friends and family for help with so many everyday tasks, or to have to face an unwanted move into residential care often at a relatively young age,” said a spokesperson for the charity.

Cecil Rosen Court is JBD’s seventh development offering mobility apartments in the capital.
