The front running Labour party candidate for Mayor of London and former culture secretary will join the organisation’s younger members to mark a quarter of a century of Jewish Care.

The event will take place on May 15, and tables of 10 -12 are available as are individual tickets at the cost of £35 per head.

Chair of Jewish Care’s Young Professionals Committee Steven Altmann-Richer said “We are delighted that Dame Tessa Jowell has agreed to join us for this special Shabbat dinner celebrating 25 years of Jewish Care.”

“I want to encourage all young professionals to come along for what will be a great night and a fantastic opportunity to support Jewish Care, who for the past 25 years have been supporting thousands of older and vulnerable people in our community every week”.

Last May, Dame Tessa Jowell was the guest of honour at Jewish Care’s Women of Distinction lunch where she praised the work of Jewish Care and the support they receive from across the community.

The Labour politician called Jewish Care “a shining example of the values and character of Jewish people, who have contributed enormously to this country and so successfully integrated into British life in many different ways.

Over the years you have grown to become the exceptional charity you are today.  I would like to commend you for your hard work and dedication, and the rounded approach you take to providing help and support.”
