Celebrating the best of British regional and local newspaper journalism in 2018 for print, online and any other news platform, the winners will be announced at a ceremony hosted by LBC radio presenter Nick Ferrari at the IET, Savoy Place in London, on Friday, May 17.

The Society of Editors, supported by Camelot since 2001, organises the awards on behalf of the journalism industry.

Editor Richard Ferrer said: “There are many hundreds of outstanding free newspapers across the UK, so to be selected by the prestigious Society of Editors as the one of the very best is a wonderful accolade and recognition of the tireless dedication of my incredible team. I’m off to the dry cleaners!”
