Youth organisation JLGB is set to launch a fundraising campaign to make its programmes accessible for all.

The donations will be earmarked for vital subsidised activities, programmes, and social & volunteering opportunities to thousands of young people.

A statement said JLGB is “supporting young people’s journey to adulthood, helping them build their confidence and providing tools to thrive in modern society”.

JLGB CEO Neil Martin said: “For now over 127 years, JLGB has always been there for our community in times of crisis, stepping up to support children, young people and their families. Today’s young people are growing up in an tremendous time of upheaval, still grappling with the impacts of a global pandemic and now in the midst of a cost of living crisis.

“Supporting JLGB will give thousands more young people the best start in life and equip them with the practical and emotional tools they need to face the challenges of their future.”

Donations will be doubled over the 36 hours of the campaign starting on Sunday.
