Josh jumps to double gold win

Trampolinist Joshua Newman continued his fantastic start to the season with a follow-up victory at the Trampoline League Event 1 in Burgess Hill Sussex at the weekend.

Competing in his age group category and winning in style by nearly six clear marks, he produced a season best score in the three-round contest, having not practiced the 13.0 tariff routine since last month.

He followed that up by victory in the Super League Elite men’s Event, winning by a clear 1.85 marks against older opposition, his senior his 14.4 tariff another personal best.

He claimed a third medal, albeit silver, not gold, when teaming up with his club compatriot Luke Bennett in the synchro event. Josh said: “It was a great weekend for me, my highlight winning the Super League Event. I’m on a roll now and my confidence is sky high for the rest of the season.”

Having already qualified for the British Championship Finals, and now the Trampoline League Finals which are being held at the Copperbox Arena in the Olympic Park in November, Josh is next in action at the Sheffield spring series Event 2 next month.
