Wycombe Wanderers’ midfielder Scott Kashket has been named the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month for December.

The 20-year-old, who scored in every game for the club in December, has been an integral part of the side’s recent fine run of form, which has seen them win 10 out of their last 11 games.

Signed from Leyton Orient in the summer, he’s scored 13 goals in 14 games – including a hat-trick in the FA Cup last month – and said: “I’m over the moon to be named player of the month. I’d like to thank all the players and staff at Wycombe, I couldn’t have won it without them.”

Recently voted as the Jewish News sports star of 2016, having received an overwhelming 82 percent of the vote, Kasket, alongside his Jewish teammate Joe Jacobson, are in FA Cup third round action on Saturday, when the Choirboys host non-league side Stourbridge at Adams Park.
