Ken Livingstone will give evidence to a parliamentary committee next week as part of its inquiry into the rise of anti-Semitism.

The former London mayor – who remains suspended from the Labour party for suggesting Hitler supported Zionism – has been called to address the Home Affairs Select Committee on Tuesday.

Angus Robertson, the leader of the Scottish National Party in the House of Commons, and Board of Deputies President Jonathan Arkush, will also give evidence on the same day.
Keith Vaz, Chair of the Committee, said: “This inquiry was inspired by worrying evidence of a growing resurgence in anti-Semitism across Europe, and these issues have recently been brought to prominence again in the UK.

We will be calling all the main party leaders to present their party stances on this issue and we are grateful to Angus Robertson for being the first to appear. We are also grateful to the Board of Deputies of British Jews for coming to give us an overview of this issue.;”
