Knyazyeva-Minenko has eyes on triple jump medal

Israeli-record triple jumper comfortably books her place in final.

Hanna Knyazyeva-Minenko is through to Monday's triple jump final.

Hanna Knyazyeva-Minenko booked her place in Monday morning’s final after she produced a jump of 14.20m.

A jump of 14.30 automatically served as qualification for the final, failing which the 12 best performers would go through.

She said: “I’m very happy because I really wasn’t easy for me today. I’m going to recover and start getting ready properly into the finals on Sunday.”

The final gets underway at 1am on Monday (UK time).
