Labour MP Zarah Sultana has launched an attack on the Israel, accusing its military of committing “war crimes” over the “murder” of 66 children and 245 Palestinians during the recent Gaza conflict.

Speaking during Prime Minister’s Question Time in the House of Commons, the Coventry South MP read out the names of three Palestinian children she said had been “killed in an Israeli airstrike.”

She continued: “The Israeli military murdered 63 other children and 245 Palestinians in its recent assault on Gaza.”

Sultana then asked if Boris Johnson could look her the eye and say the three children, of whom she held up photographs of, had not been killed in what she said were “war crimes “by Israel.

The PM failed to discuss the Labour MPs claims of “murder” and “war crimes” in his response to her.

Instead he said “nobody wants to see any more of the appalling conflict we have seen in Israel and Gaza.”

Responding to Sultana’s further question about the scale of UK arms trade with Israel, the PM reiterated the government’s belief in a two-state solution in the Middle East.

The final death toll at the end of 11 days of conflict included more than 70 children.

The overwhelming majority of those were Palestinian and lost their lives in Gaza.

Three Palestinian children have been killed in the West Bank.

Two Israeli children aged 5 and 16 were also killed.

But while Hamas has sought to put the blame entirely on Israel for the tragic deaths, there is evidence that some of the 3,100 rockets fired by the terror group dropped on Palestinians.
