Labour organiser suspended for blaming ‘all wars in the world’ on Jews

The Labour Party’s West Midlands organiser has been suspended for blaming “all the wars in the world” on Jews.

Mohammed Yasin this week became the most senior party figure to be suspended since former London mayor Ken Livingstone, after a social media comment from him in February 2016 surfaced.

The party took action after being handed a dossier – not seen by Jewish News – on Yasin’s past comments and social media shares by The Sunday Times, with topics ranging from Israel to the Holocaust and the Rothschilds.

The paper said one of the examples showed Yasin sharing a post from the Lord Dreadnought site, which quoted actor Mel Gibson saying: “Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world.” The post, which attacked “Zionist madness,” allegedly shows people laughing, under the line “when someone tells me it’s not the Jews”.

Another post Yasin allegedly shared considers “why Israel is a problem” before detailing how the US had funded the Israeli military “due to Holocaust propaganda” while another reportedly said US imperialism “needs Israel to keep the masses permanently at war”.

The Times also alleges that Yasin shared a picture showing a rabbi next to the words: “Goyim [non-Jews] were born only to serve us. They have no place in the world, only to serve the people of Israel.”

On the Rothschilds, Yasin allegedly shared a post describing the Jewish family as “the world’s most wicked and wealthy” while in 2015 he reportedly shared a cartoon showing film crews ignoring massacred Palestinians while focusing on a crying baby wearing a Star of David.

A Labour spokesman said: “We take all allegations seriously and fully investigate them in accordance with our rules and procedures.”
