Labour suspends councillor over ‘Jews drink blood’ post

Cllr Damien Enticott removed by the party after sharing video on Facebook calling Jews 'parasites' who 'need executing'

Cllr Damien Enticott

Labour has suspended a councillor over an anti-Semitic post on Facebook.

Cllr Damien Enticott shared a video on his personal Facebook profile from a page headlined “Jewish Ritual – They drink blood and suck baby’s [sic] d***”, which said Jews “need executing”.

Above the video shared from the page “Black Pride”, Enticott, a local official in  Hatherleigh Ward, Bognor Regis, added text referring to ‘Talmud Jews’. He says  “Jews are parasites” who “believe any child over 3 years old that isn’t a Jew should be treated like a parasite”.

He adds  Jews “believe it is okay to even rape that child because it’s is [sic] worthless. To treat a non Jew decently means that you are as bad as them. All Talmuds need executing!”

A Labour spokesperson confirmed he is suspended and said the party “takes all complaints of antisemitism extremely seriously and we are committed to challenging and campaigning against it in all its forms. Complaints about antisemitism are fully investigated in line with our rules and procedures and any appropriate disciplinary action is taken.”

It also emerged on social media, that the councillor had a history of anti-Semitic posts on Facebook, including one which said “Hitler would have the solution to the Israeli problem”, while another said “Theresa May is the only Nazi who couldn’t get the trains to run on time.”

The post referring to Jews ‘drinking blood’ post was put on Twitter by former Barnet councillor Adam Langleben, who wrote: “Ladies and Gentleman. A Labour Councillor in 2018. But yeah. All just a smear”, in reference to accusations of Labour anti-Semitism being fabricated by opponents of Jeremy Corbyn.
According to HuffPost, Enticott said it was not posted by him, adding: “It’s someone in my house that has accessed it and thinks its funny”, before telling them he’s “not anti-Semitic in any way”, that he’s “actually got Jewish friends.”
Damian Enticott has been approached for comment.
