Leeor Brooks reached the last eight of the Pro Wrestling World Cup at the weekend.

The British-Israeli, who represented Israel, fights as “The Chutzpah” Lior Ben-David, and was beaten in the quarter-finals by Northern Ireland’s Alexander Hyde at the event, which was held in Ipswich.

The 28-year-old, who’s based in Stanmore, said: “I did well and the fans showed a lot of support – for me it was a pleasant surprise as I’m used to being booed out of the venue!”

He’ll be taking part in tournaments across Europe later this year, his next one scheduled for next month.
