Lions’ youth match their Brighton peers
Two sides from the Rowley Lane club took on teams from the Premier League's shadow squad
Maccabi London Lions took two of their sides down to Brighton at the weekend as they pitted their wits against the Premier League side’s shadow squads.
Its U15 and U9 White sides played games at the club’s Academy, the former winning 2-0 and latter playing out a 2-2 draw.
They rounded off their day by then enjoying The Seagulls’ 4-1 Premier League win over Swansea at the AMEX Stadium.
Executive club secretary Nigel Burns said: “All the boys and parents had an amazing trip – it enhances the clubs reputation and following discussions with Darren Bloom [brother of owner Tony] at Brighton, we will be looking to take more teams down in the future.
