Little kitten! Matt Lucas picks purr-fect winner of pet contest
Despite being a dog lover, the Little Britain star plumped for Kuzzi as the victor in the annual contest, announcing the result on #NationalPetDay
A fluffy grey cat proved she was the pre-furred contestant after celebrity judge Matt Lucas named her the winner of a pet competition.
Kuzzi the cat beat off a host of entries to claim first prize in Jewish Blind & Disabled’s PETron competition.
Despite being a dog lover, the Little Britain star plumped for Kuzzi as the victor in the annual contest, announcing the result on National Pet Day, Thursday, April 11.
In a video message, Matt said: “The supporters of Jewish Blind & Disabled have so many wonderful, warm, lovely, fuzzy, cute pets. It’s been hard to pick a winner from all the brilliant entries.
“I’m a dog man – I have two dogs of my own and love them very much – but I’ve actually gone for a cat.
“Kuzzi is just really cute. Congratulations to Kuzzi.”
The Jewish Blind & Disabled PETron scheme allow supporters of the charity to sign up their furry or feathery friend for just £5 a month or £60 a year.
The pet receives a name tag, certificate, Kong toy donated by Medivet and biscuits donated by Lily’s Kitchen, as well as entry into the annual celebrity-judged competition.
