A London-born rabbi who has spent the last decade working with Jewish teens in Detroit is homeward bound after being appointed the new managing director of Aish UK.

Rabbi Dovid Lichtig joins the organisation from NCSY in Michigan, where he was associate regional director, and said he was thrilled to be moving back to his city of birth, together with his wife Chavi and four children.

Aish UK director Rabbi Daniel Rowe said Lichtig brought “a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role,” adding: “We have no doubt that he will be an excellent addition to the team.”

Lichtig said: “It is an honour to be given the opportunity to lead such an outstanding team of people who are at the forefront of informal Jewish education in the UK.”
