London’s first Interfaith Wellbeing Festival unveils full line-up
Family-friendly Bank Holiday event brings Jewish and Muslim groups together for sport, music, and mental health
The full programme for London’s inaugural Interfaith Wellbeing Festival has been announced, with Jewish and Muslim-led organisations joining forces to offer a Bank Holiday celebration of sport, culture, and community at Paddington Recreation Ground on Monday 25 August.
Co-produced by the Faith & Belief Forum, Maccabi GB, and four other faith-based partners, the festival will feature free activities designed to promote physical, emotional, spiritual, and social wellbeing.
Highlights include musical performances hosted by Faiths in Tune – with acts ranging from the London Male Jewish Choir to the Shumei Taiko Ensemble – a community football masterclass with Queen’s Park Rangers FC, meditation, and reflection zones, wellbeing workshops, and a diverse food court offering kosher and halal options.
Matthew Gold, London Communities Coordinator at the Faith & Belief Forum, said: “We believe that wellbeing is a holistic activity – it’s not about one thing or the other, it’s about having a healthy balance of the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual. This is a day for families and individuals to reconnect with themselves, with each other, and experience something new.”
Organisers say the event is a “true example of co-production”, with dozens of charities and community groups involved – from Mitzvah Day and The Delicate Mind to Salaam Peace and Made in Hackney.
The Interfaith Wellbeing Festival runs from 11:30am to 4:30pm on Monday, 25 August, at Paddington Recreation Ground, Maida Vale. Entry is free, with advance registration at interfaithfestival.org.
