Lustigman honoured by Football Association

Maccabi Masters and Junior League founder presented with award in recognition of his 50 years service to football

Stuart Lustigman has been recognised by the Football Association for his 50 years of service to football.

Nominated by the London County FA, Lustigman began playing football in the AJY Junior League in 1959 and qualified as a referee for the London FA in 1973.

Founder of both the Maccabi GB Junior Football League in 1988 and Masters League in 1999, of whom he is the President and Chairman of respectively, he was presented his award at half-time of last week’s FA Cup tie between Wingate & Finchley and Hemel Hempstead Town, by George Dorling, Chairman of the Council of the London Football Association.

Barry Bright, Leader of the FA Council, said: “I would like to persona;;y thank you for all the work you have done over the years to better the opportunities and to improve grassroots for the better. THE FA would like to record our appreciation, of your wonderful efforts on behalf of football and to offer our congratulations to you on your achievements.”
