Man arrested after shouting “kill the f*****g Jews” at Jewish pedestrians

A man has been arrested after shouting anti-Semitic abuse at Jewish pedestrians in South Tottenham, writes Jack Mendel.

Jewish volunteer neighbourhood watch group Shomrim posted on Twitter on Friday, that they pursued a susepct by Clapton Common in East London, before he was arrested.

Speaking to Jewish News, the police said they “were called at 12:23hrs on Friday, 9 October, to a man threatening passers-by in High Road, South Tottenham.
 

“Officers attended and the man was arrested at around 12:40hrs in Craven Park Road. He has been taken to a north London police station, where he remains in custody. 

“Following further information received, the incident is being as treated as anti-Semitic.”

Shomrim told Jewish News: “The suspect was shouting “kill the f***ing Jews” amongst other abuse. The suspect was shouting the abuse at visibly Jewish pedestrians including women and children.”
