Man arrested in Hackney for shouting anti-Semitic abuse

A man has been arrested in Hackney for shouting anti-Semitic abuse at members of the Orthodox community.

Police arrested and detained a 34-year-old man after volunteer neighbourhood-watch group Shomrim notified them at 1am on Tuesday morning.

He was arrested for a racially aggravated public order offence, and was taken to an east London police station, where he is currently being detained. 

According to Shomrim, the suspect also appeared to be in breach of bail conditions for a similar offence.
