Marshside for the second week running were involved in a high-scoring draw where they equalised with the last action of the match, drawing 4-4 with Brady Maccabi B. Trailing four times through four superb long-range strikes by Scott Ansher, equalisers from Darren Coon, Gill Barrel, Jason Rich and a last-gasp bullet header from Coon from a corner resulted in a share of the spoils. The result means Marshside’s last two drawn matches have produced 20 goals!
Elsewhere, leaders EHRS produced another convincing performance as they comfortably beat second placed St John’s Wood Tigers 7-1. Ashley Davidson helped himself to a hat-trick, Dean Schulberg scored twice, with Ian Leader and Adam Kern also getting on the scoresheet. Josh Bentley replied for the Tigers.
Maccabi London Lions B eased into second place, thanks to an 8-0 win against Temple Fortune. Gideon Barnett scored half of their goals, with Danny Schindler, Michael Abrahams, Arthur Duke and a David Kyte penalty completing the scoring.
The division is now shaping up as a fight for the title between EHRS and Maccabi London Lions.
