Masters football review – week four

There were goals galore scored with the ball hitting the back 31 times from the four games played writes Jeremy Silverstone.

Raiders made it three wins from three, while Scrabble fell to their third consecutive loss in Division One, while EHRS maintained top spot in Division Two.

MGBSFL – WEEK FOUR REVIEW

DIVISION ONE:
TABLE

Two goals each from Wayne Davidson and Alex Bourne helped earn North London Raiders a 7-1 win over Brady A. Ben Simons, Tony Plaskow and James Cartmell also all got on the scoresheet, while 
Mark Wagman scored Brady’s consolation from the spot.

Elsewhere, a hat-trick from Lloyd Becker inspired Chigwell to a 6-2 win against Scrabble. Scott Warren scored twice, with Daniel Castle also on target. Jon Cohen bagged a brace for Scrabble.

DIVISION TWO:
TABLE

EHRS Stonegrove maintained top spot in the table thanks to a 5-0 win over Hendon Harriers. Russell Rich scored twice, with Adam Kern and two own goals seeing them to the comprehensive win.

A hat-trick from birthday boy Bradley Lazarus, together with a double from Gideon Barnett and strikes from Simon Davidson and Arthur Duke saw Lions out-roar St John’s Wood Tigers 7-3. Leapfrogging them into second spot in the process, Steve Gold, Ashley Marks and Mark Abrahams replied for Tigers.
