Masters football review – week nine

Scrabble claimed their first league win of the season, while Lions B put eight past Brady B in Division Two, writes Jeremy Silverstone

The one game in Division One was a clash of the bottom two, while Lions B and Glenthorne maintained their 100 percent winning starts in Division Two.

MGBSFL – WEEK TEN REVIEW

DIVISION ONE:
TABLE

In the one game in the Division, Scrabble battled to their first win of the season with a hard-fought win over HMH. Alex Bourne, Dan Ruckin and Stefan Simons earned the points for Scrabble as they fought back from 2-0 down to win 3-2, after Jamie Beaumont and Mark Greenfield had put HMH ahead.

DIVISION TWO:
TABLE

Lions B recorded an emphatic 8-0 win over Brady B, thanks to four goals from Michael Abraham, two from Simon Black and one apiece for Darren Dryer and Immanuel Ezekiel.

Two goals from Adam Lennard and one from Gary Adams gave Glenthorne a 3-1 win over St John’s Wood Tigers, with player manager John Perloff netting for Tigers.
