Masters football review – week three

Lions mauled HMH to stay top of Division One on goal difference, while there was a first win of the season for Temple Fortune in Divison Two, writes Jeremy Silverstone.

London Lions share top spot with the Raiders in Division One with two wins from two, while EHRS maintained their 100 percent winning start in Division Two.

MGBSFL – WEEK FOUR REVIEW

DIVISION ONE:
TABLE

London Lions A stay top of the table on goal difference after they thrashed HMH 9-1. Saul Conway scored four of the goals, Lee Cash and Max Radford claimed two each, with Dan Stanton scoring their ninth. Elliot Toffell netted HMH’s consolation.

North London Raiders came from behind to beat arch rivals Chigwell 3-2 in a ding-dong encounter. Raiders went 1-0 ahead through Wayne Davidson, but Chigwell responded through Lloyd Becker and Richard Slater to lead 2-1 at the break. Raiders rallied after the interval with goals from James Cartmell and Jeremy Teacher to seal the win.

DIVISION TWO:
TABLE

 

Two goals each for James Ryan and Graham Meyer earned Temple Fortune a 4-1 win over Brady B, who replied through Martin Schultz.

Gary Adams scored twice as Glenthorne edged their encounter with Hendon Harriers 2-1, Ashley Marks scoring for Harriers.

Elsewhere, Marc Morris and Ashley Davidson scored twice as EHRS saw off the challenge of Marshside with a 4-0 win.
