Masters football review – week three

It's as you were at the top of the Division One table, while EDRS hit Brady for six in Division Two, writes Jeremy Silverstone.

The Raiders made it two wins from two in Division One, while there were goals galore in the three Division Two matches…

DIVISION ONE:
TABLE

North London Raiders beat Lions A 3-1 thanks to two goals from Alex Bourne, plus Gideon Gold’s strike. Hadley Silver replied from the spot for Lions.

Brady A were 2-1 victors over Scrabble, thanks to strikes from Ashley Davidson and Mark Wagman.

DIVISION TWO:
TABLE

EDRS claimed their first win of the season in style as they beat Brady B 6-1. Ian Sassoon scored twice, with Jon Dubiner, Martin Seifert, Tony Platman and Malcolm Joseph also on target (from the penalty spot). Mark Nathan scored Brady’s consolation.

A brace from Lloyd Nygate and an own goal earned Glenthorne a 3-2 win over Hendon Harriers, for whom Brian Deal and Richard Morris netted.

Temple Fortune overcame Marshside in a seven-goal thriller. Jeremy Fess scored twice, with David Sawyer and an own goal giving them a 4-0 half-time lead. Second-half goals from Fara Moghim, Justin Woolf and Ed Saleh narrowed the deficit, but Marshside were unable to equalise, and Fortune won 4-3.
