Met Police rule out investigation into LSE protests against Israeli envoy
A spokesperson confirmed there was “no investigation” launched into the events of November 9, which included ambassador Tzipi Hotovely being rushed away in a car
The Metropolitan Police have confirmed there is no investigation taking place into the protests against Israeli ambassador Tzipi Hotovely outside the London School of Economics last week
Footage on social media showed protesters shouting and rushing up to Hotovely‘s waiting car as she left the university.
Some communal leaders joined Home Secretary Priti Patel in calling for police to investigate the “appalling” incident.
Anger mounted after claims were made on social media that the Israeli envoy had been chased off campus at the November 9 debate engagement.
There were even comparisons with the treatment of Jews during Nazi era Germany.
The Met Police confirmed officers attended the protest last week but no arrests were made.
On Wednesday a spokesperson for the Met Police confirmed there was “no investigation” launched into the events of November 9.
