—————————————————-

GOALKEEPER
Joe Botchin (Oakwood A) – Pulled off some brilliant saves in his side’s Cyril Anekstein Cup semi-final win

DEFENCE
Ben Myers (Scrabble) – Had a superb game and didn’t put a foot wrong or play a bad pass in 90 minutes
James Korn (FC Team) –Strong at the heart of the Team defence, concentration slipped in five minutes of madness, but was regained to see side home
Dan Howard (Hendon United) – Hadn’t played 11-a-side in few years and played through the pain of a groin strain during the game. Showed how class is permanent on debut
Dave Esterkin (NL Raiders A) – Another first performance for the A’s in an irregular position and was superb

MIDFIELD:
David Leiwy (Faithfold A) – Left his manager speechless with his performance. Got a hat-trick, an assist and was simply unplayable
James Gold (Maccabi London Lions White) – Was threatening throughout the 90 minutes, and claimed a couple of assists
Robert Samuelson (North London Raiders C) – Marshalled the midfield extremely well, broke up the opposition play with ease
Dave Kizneris (Faithfold A) – Only on for 45 minutes, but made such a difference. Scored one, assisted one and had the beating of his man every time

ATTACK:
Simon Moses (Los Blancos) – Led side superbly from the front, scored twice to see his side to victory
Rupert Wood (Scrabble) – Enjoyed his best game to date for the club with his powerful running and tackling, and weighed in with the opening two goals

PLAYER-MANAGER OF THE WEEK
Avi Markiewicz (Faithfold A)

PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
