DIVISION ONE:

BRIXTON OLD BOYS P WOODFORD WANDERERS P

(match postponed – Brixton unable to raise a side)

————————–

OAKWOOD B 0 FC TEAM B 5
A Lorian Madanes hat-trick helped Team keep on track for second spot as they recorded this emphatic win.

Jake Weiner and Dave Grossman netted their other two.

Team player-manager Mitch Young told jewishnews.co.uk: “We produced our best performance at the time it mattered most. Defensively we were superb and everyone worked really hard to ensure our shape remained in tact at all times.

“I’m proud of everyone but this was one of four games we have to win so bring on the next one.”

Oakwood manager Jason Stein, who wasn’t at the game, told jewishnews.co.uk: “Well done to Team B on what sounded like a pretty straight forward win. And well done to Lorian on his hat-trick. Although I didn’t see his Facebook status update quite so quickly when we beat them three weeks ago.”

DIVISION TWO:

FAITHFOLD C 10 TEMPLE FORTUNE 1
Faithfold scored nearly a quarter of their goals in one morning as they thrashed Fortune.

Jamie Kent helped himself to four goals, Shai Davidi scored a hat-trick, with Leor Harrel, Dan Yossman and Craig Cole completing the rout.

Manager Rob Shooman told jewishnews.co.uk: “It was just one of those games when everything we did came off, 4-1 up at half-time, it could have been six or seven.

“They didn’t deserve to go in at half-time four goals down, they were playing well it’s just we got everything right.

Tremendous admiration for them they kept trying to the last and threatened our goal on several occasions in the second half but we just took most of our chances ruthlessly.

“A great performance by the boys and some great football played by us.”

Aron Barnes scored for Fortune, for whom player-manager Jonathan Cohen told jewishnews.co.uk: “There was lots about the game I was unhappy about. In general we were poorer this week in the second half than we have been in many other games this season.”

————————–

FC TEAM C 0 NORTH LONDON RAIDERS C 2
Raiders all but consolidated third spot as they put on a professional performance at Team.

Oli Nathan and Oli Telvi scored for the Raiders, with joint-manager Zack Gothelf telling jewishnews.co.uk: “Another clean sheet and a well fought victory was pleasing for a Raiders side who require just a point to mathematically secure third.”

————————–

REAL HENDON 3 BOCA JEWNIORS 0
Real Hendon got back to winning ways as Rafi Adlestone, Lolu Hibbert and Doron Shooter all netted against the bottom side.

Player-manager Chaim Gothold told jewishnews.co.uk: “It was a good performance, we were always on top and should have scored a few more.”

Boca’s Anton Nyman told jewishnews.co.uk: “We simply couldn’t create enough today and they took their chances with some nice finishing. One more chance left to get away from the bottom of the table!”

MASTERS/MGBSFL INVITATIONAL COMPETITION:

Redbridge Jewish Care B 8 Brady Maccabi 1
A hat-trick from Craig Sandford helped Redbridge to this resounding victory.

Richie Caplin, Sam Moss, Daniel Andrews, Joe Jordan and an own goal completed the scoring.
