A dog called ‘Mini’ was said to be “enjoying life as a celebrity in the Jewish pet world” this week, after bagging a pet prize run by charity Jewish Blind & Disabled.

JBD’s PETron competition saw 24 “really cute” entrants including dogs, cats, rabbits and even chicks, but Mini raised the biggest smile from the judges.

“It was very tough to pick a winner but we loved the way that Mini looked like she was trying to walk on her hind legs,” said judge Ashley Blaker, a comedian, noting that Mini will now receive a special goodie bag donated by PetsPyjamas.

Mini’s ‘Dad’ Zac said: “Mini is really enjoying her new celebrity status in the Jewish dog community. More importantly she is delighted to support such a worthwhile cause, enabling people to live independently who might otherwise lead restricted and even isolated lives.”
