In the fashion bible’s special Pride month issue, Margolyes is described as “Britain’s mischief-maker-in-chief”, a “living embodiment of British eccentricity” and celebrated as a LGBTQ pioneer.

In a wide-ranging interview, she openly discusses her childhood in a Jewish family in Oxford, her sexuality, relationship with partner of 54-years, academic Heather Sutherland and says she is still “a bit of a child” and “can’t resist naughtiness.”
