Miss Lebanon slammed for Miss Israel selfie: ‘I was photobombed’

Miss Lebanon has been criticised for being in a selfie picture with Miss Israel, during Miss Universe.

Saly Greige (Miss Lebanon) was caught in a photo with Doron Matalon (Miss Israel), along with two other Miss Universe contestants, posted on Matalon’s Facebook page.

Lebanese TV station Al Jadeed picked up on Greige saying one of her hobbies is reading, jibing that ‘she should have read that Lebanon and Israel are enemies.’

On Greige’s Facebook page, she outlined that “Since the first day of my arrival to participate to Miss Universe, I was very cautious to avoid being in any photo or communication with Miss Israel, who tried several times to take a photo with me.”

“I was having a photo with Miss Japan, Miss Slovenia, suddenly Miss Israel jumped in and took a selfie, and uploaded it on her social media.”
