Name your Woman of Distinction

Jewish Care’s Woman of Distinction (WOD) committee is asking community members to honour and celebrate the women who have inspired and influenced their lives and submit their names to add to the Woman of Distinction Celebratory Wall. Each name submitted is done so with a £20 donation to Jewish Care’s Sidney Corob House, a residential home for people with mental health needs. All names submitted this year will be added to the virtual foundation stones from last year and the wall will be displayed at the Woman of Distinction Award Luncheon on 21st March.

The annual WOD lunch was launched in 1986 as a forum for women in business in the Jewish community to celebrate true Women of Distinction who have excelled in their chosen field and have made a significant contribution both within and outside the community. This initiative has raised almost £1.5 milllion for Jewish Care. Committee Chairs Danielle Lipton and Danielle Hess said: “Last year, we created the foundations of the wall. Please help us by nominating your Woman of Distinction to take this to the next level.”
