National rugby side set for London Puma’s test

The Israeli women’s rugyb team

Israel’s women’s national rugby team’s preparations for June’s European Championships will include a first match in ten years against a visiting London-based team.

The London Pumas are touring Israel between 23-31 May as part of a new legacy by Project Israel, an organisation which bring sports & cultural tours from the UK to Israel, aiming to change perspectives and opinions on Israel through sport and culture.

The Pumas, coached and managed by Jon Feld, are a new team which represent London’s diversity, and have two Jewish girls in their squad, 17-year-old Charlotte Feld-Davidovici and former Israel captain Alexis Bloom.
