Nevo claims silver at London Games

Gal Nevo has won Israel’s first medal at the European Swimming Championships in London

Gal Nevo failed to reach the final of the 400m individual medley

The 28-year-old won silver in the 200-meter individual medley final, finishing in a time of 1:59.69.

Nevo, who’s already qualified for the Rio Olympics, will take part in the 400m IM in London later in the week.

Elsewhere in the pool, Andrea Murez finished the women’s 100m freestyle final in fifth place, while Ronen Faor reached the semi-finals of the 200m breaststroke.

Guy Barnea and Jonatan Kopelev will be action on Thursday, when they take part in qualifying heats in the 50m backstroke.
