New South London Jewish primary school on the move to permanent home

The first new Jewish primary school to open its doors in South London for decades is moving out of its temporary Wimbledon site and into a permanent home in Roehampton.

Mosaic Jewish Primary School (MJPS) will relocate to a former care home in Roehampton Lane by September 2015 after collecting the keys from Wandsworth Council this week.

“We are extremely fortunate to have secured such a lovely site,” said headteacher Kate Baum.

“We have enjoyed such a wonderful start in our first year and our families are eager to see the school grow and develop into its new purpose-built home.”

With 30 pupils enrolled last September, the school hopes to expand to provide places for 420 children, half of which will be of Jewish and the other half from other faiths or none at all.
