The Movement for Reform Judaism (MRJ) has appointed a new youth director with extensive experience in the role.

Becca Fetterman leaves her position as Liberal Judaism’s director of youth to take up the position but will remain until a successor has been recruited and trained.

Fetterman, who grew up as a member of Finchley Reform Synagogue and is an active Reform Jew said: “The Movement for Reform Judaism is a key part of my family’s life – indeed my dad used to do this exact job – so I am really excited and can’t wait to get stuck in.

“Working with Liberal Judaism and LJY-Netzer over the last nine years has been an honour and a privilege. I have learnt so much from the members of LJY-Netzer and am so grateful for how they welcomed me into their community.”

Alongside the creation of Progressive Judaism, the two youth movements, RSY-Netzer and LJY-Netzer, will continue to operate independently catering to their different audiences.
