Nightingale Hammerson care home manager named ‘Nurse of the Year’
Community care home celebrates after one of its staff received a national accolade from The Nursing Times.
A London Jewish community care home is celebrating after one of its staff was named manager of the year by The Nursing Times.
The publicationed recognised Roshni Shah from Nightingale Hammerson in Hampstead Garden Suburbs as winner in the non-clinical category of its Workforce Summit & Awards.
Judges praised her approach to care management at the residential home for elderly members of the Jewish community.
Some 700 professionals from across the health and care fields gathered at the Hilton London Metropole for the awards. Director of care for Nightingale Hammerson, Nuno Lopes said: “Roshni is a compassionate leader that always puts residents, relatives, team members and volunteers at the centre of everything she does.”
Editor of Nursing Times and the host of the fifth annual ceremony, Steve Ford, congratulated winners across 17 categories, saying the awards
“highlight nursing’s workforce achievements and some of the brilliant work being carried out during what continues to be an incredibly difficult period, due to enduring staff shortages, the aftermath of the pandemic and the approach of winter.”
