Norstar cemented their place firmly at the top of the table with another impressive home performance and a fourth clean sheet in the league.

With the rain beating down, Norstar were unable to play with their usual flare and passes with pin point accuracy, however they were still far too strong for the O’s.

Norstar took the lead when a lovely move saw Jamie Weinrich find himself one on one and the in form striker made no mistake as he tucked away his 10th of the season.

The game remained 1-0 for another hour, Norstar defending valiantly, although Orient didn’t really test ‘keeper Grant Waissel.

Norstar pushed for their second, a goal that would surely make the game safe, and it came, along with two others in less than 10 minutes. Will Ufland followed up his hat-trick last week with a well taken brace, and Nick Haringman, on his return to the side after a couple of months away travelling, beat the keeper inside the box.

Manager Zack Gothelf said: “The result was fantastic, but the clean sheet was the icing on the cake. We’ve learnt to suck up a lot of pressure and be clinical, something we showed today. We have been massively boosted by Jewdinese’s defeat, and looks like there’s only one team at the top of the league who have boosted their goal difference today.”
