North West London Jewish Day School shortlisted for Primary School of the Year

Times Educational Supplement nomination tops incredible year of achievements for the 77-year old institution

North West London Jewish Day School (NWLJDS) has been shortlisted in the Primary School of the Year category at the prestigious TES (Times Educational Supplement) School Awards 2023.

The prestigious nod is another landmark achievement for the Willesden-based school.

NWLJDS has had a prolific year, completing successful Ofsted and Section 48 Kodesh inspections, as well as being awarded ADHD-Friendly School status and WAS and SENDIA accreditation.

Headteacher Judith Caplan says she is “thrilled and honoured” that the school has been shortlisted. “This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff, Trustees and Governors, parents and pupils who have all contributed to creating a positive and nurturing learning environment where children can thrive academically and personally.

“Our school is committed to providing a high-quality education that caters to the individual needs and abilities of each and every pupil. We believe that education is not just about achieving academic excellence, but also about fostering personal growth, promoting social and emotional wellbeing, and instilling a lifelong love of learning.

The TES Schools Awards recognises the very best teachers and schools from UK state and independents, including early years settings, primary and secondary.

The panel of awards judges include school leaders, experts and education researchers.

TES editor and chief judge of the TES Schools Awards Jon Severs said: “With these awards we honour the education community, whom we have served for over 112 years. This year has seen some incredibly high-quality entries. So, every teacher and school who has been named in this shortlist should be very proud – it’s a fantastic achievement.

Awards winners will be announced on Friday 23 June at a gala ceremony at London’s Grosvenor Park Hotel.
