Notorious doctor claims quarter of UK MPs are ‘collaborators and foreign agents’ for Israel in demo rant

Dr Rameh Aladwan, facing multiple complaints of antisemtism, told Leeds pro-Palestine demo anti-Zionist Jews have duty to 'hold Jewish communities accountable'

A doctor facing multiple complaints of antisemitism has delivered another inflammatory speech to pro-Palestine activists in Leeds in which she claimed a quarter of UK MPs are “collaborators” and “foreign agents” who  “put the interests of Israel above the interests of Britain.”

In further incendiary remarks, Dr Rameh Aladwan told the Northerners Demo For Palestine that anti-Zionist Jewish “allies and friends” now had a duty to hold mainstream Jews “to account” and “nurture anti-Zionism in their communities.”

In a speech full of conspiracy theories, Aladwan, who has been reported to the General Medical Council over previous remarks about Jews and Zionism, claimed Western governments, including in the UK, were now “occupied by Zionism, which is Jewish supremacy – that’s the definition of Zionism.”

Local MPs, including Labour MP Fabian Hamilton, had joined with local councillors and communal leaders in Leeds in raising concerns with police about the latest pro-Palestine demos in the city on Saturday.

In a post on X, Dr Aladwan wrote:”British supremacist jews (zionists) tried to shut us down.

“They used a sellout MP and councillor to smear us and even contacted the police But we’re here, standing with the free people of Leeds. You don’t scare us—the harder you try to silence us, the LOUDER we will be!”

Also speaking at the same demo was Dr Rehiana Ali, a doctor and former Parliamentary candidate, who had previously called the dead Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar a “legend,” leading to her temporary suspension as an NHS neurologist.

Video of Aladwan’s speech in front of around 150 activists on Saturday showed her launching a vile and legally problematic attack on MPs she claimed were “directly funded by the Israel lobby.”

Without naming the 25 percent of MPs, which she said was “not a small percentage” of those elected to parliament, Aladwan continued:  “And these 25% you know, they pass legislation, they stand in our House of Commons, and they put the interests of Israel above the interests of Britain.

“So these people are compromised. They’re collaborators, they’re foreign agents, basically, right? ”

To cheers from the crowd, many of whom carried Palestinian flags, she added: “We need to free Britain from the Israel lobby situation.”

She then turned the focus of her rant onto the UK’s Jewish community, and the role anti-Zionist Jews now needed to take.

” I have called on my anti Zionist Jewish colleagues and allies and friends to hold their Jewish communities accountable,” she said.

“That’s why they don’t want us to speak …  we’re not saying all Jews.
“We are saying that the Jewish school institutions, synagogues, there are no anti-Zionist Jewish schools or synagogues in Britain…..

” So what we do is we appeal to our allies, those anti-Zionist Jews, to nurture anti-Zionism in their communities.

“We do not have direct access to synagogues or Jewish communities, I’m already smeared as an antisemite.”

Aladwan then showed the small crowd her T-shirt, which read “anti-semite semite club,” adding, “I’m a semite.”

She then instructed anti-Zionist Jews to “reach out to the Jewish communities.”

“They can tell their synagogues, stop funding and fundraising for the IOF (Israel Occupation Forces). They can tell their school that we shouldn’t teach that Palestine isn’t a God given right.”

She continued: “I think that that needs to happen because everybody needs to be held to account.

“If we’re going to see everybody as equal, we have to see our Jewish communities as people, to hold them to account, because it’s going to be a joint effort.”

In further bizarre remarks about the alleged influence of Zionism, here she had earlier said: “You know, everybody talks about the physical occupation in Gaza, in Palestine, in the West Bank, but our Western governments are occupied themselves. ”

Ahead of the march Leeds Jewish Rep Council chair Simon Myerson KC had raised concerns about her being allowed to speak at the demo. On X he posted:”This racist is apparently speaking at a rally in Leeds tomorrow.

“Why  West Yorks Police think it acceptable to risk my community’s wellbeing is a little beyond my community. ”

Local Leeds North East Hamilton said he was “concerned” about the protest, which included speakers who had “encouraged the targeting of Jewish businesses.”

He called for West Yorkshire Police and Leeds City Council to investigate any incidents of “antisemitism or racism.”
