While three points separated the sides going into this match, they ended the 90 minutes with a point apiece.

Zac Summerfield, Oli Richardson and Zak McLeod all scoring for the home side. Manager Ray Abrahams told jewishnews.co.uk: “To concede so deep into added time was a blow for us and just about summed up this rollercoaster of a season for our squad.

“But we looked stronger today and I can’t fault the boys for the effort as they all gave 100 percent to try and get the win to end our season on a high.

“To be honest we should have wrapped up the game in the first half and had we been more clinical in front of goal today in both halves we would be looking at three points now instead of one. If you don’t take your chances it costs and you don’t win football matches.

“Now the season is over we will regroup over the summer and be back stronger next time out.

“There were lots of positives to take out of the game today and reflecting on the season, we have retained our place in Division One which we are pleased about. But next season as we did this one, we want to bring in a few new faces to the squad to freshen things up and our target once again next season will be promotion to the Premier Division as a priority.”

Fairlop claimed the victory they needed to wrap up the Division two title – and did so in style.

Brad Gayer scored twice, with Daniel Garfinkle, Daniel Rosen and Pierce Prince also all on target.

Manager Aaron Dias told jewishnews.co.uk: “We are delighted to have finally secured the title! It’s been a great first season for us and we are all delighted that it has finished with silverware.

“Today comes at the cost of our Mr Consistent Pierce Prince as he starts his new life in Los Angeles, we wish him all the very best in his new adventure.

“It was a good game of Football, credit to NLR C for getting a team together, they played the game in the right spirit. We will certainly enjoy ourselves over the coming weeks but attention will soon turn to next year, where we will on the hunt for more silverware.”
