Oliel reaches last four at Australian Open

Israeli youngster through to the semi-finals of the junior boy's singles competition in Melbourne.

Yshai Oliel was knocked out of the first round of the boys' singles competition

Yshai Olielis one victory away from reaching the final of the junior boy’s singles tournament at the Australian Open after he recorded a straight-sets win in his quarter-final on Thursday.

The 17-year-old, who’s seeded fourth in the tournament, beat Cypriot Menelaos Efstathiou, 6-3, 6-3.

He next faces the number one seed, China’s Yibing Wu, for a place in the final. The match is due to take place first on the Margaret Court Arena.
