The UNESCO exhibit has been postponed after officials warned that it could harm the peace process. However the Israeli prime minister hit back, saying “facts and truth are never harmful to peace”.

The United States and Canada have pushed the UN to go ahead with the exhibit called: “People, Book, Land – The 3,500-year relationship of the Jewish People with the Holy Land.”

Prof. Robert Wistrich from Hebrew University of Jerusalem, who authored and oversaw the project, was shocked at the decision, saying: “It’s a slap in the face.”
