Palestinian migrant who called for death of all Jews released from UK prison
Mosab Abdulkarim al-Gassas posted a TikTok video of himself entering the UK via a small boat earlier this year
A Palestinian man who arrived in Britain illegally after crossing the Channel in a small boat – and who was previously filmed calling for the mass killing of Jews – has been released from prison.
Mosab Abdulkarim al-Gassas, also known as Abu Wadee, made national headlines earlier this year after he filmed and published clips of his journey to the UK on TikTok.
Wadee, who grew up in Gaza but left before 7 October 2023, had pictures on his social media accounts showing him posing with a rifle and confronting Israeli forces. In a Facebook video posted last September, translated by the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting and Analysis (CAMERA), he declared:
“Allah, it is upon you to (deal with) the Jews and those loyal to them. Allah, kill them one by one, and don’t leave a single one. Allah, destroy them completely, disperse them completely and make the earth fall from under their feet.”
Al-Gassas was jailed after admitting that he had attempted to enter the UK in March without valid leave or entry clearance. However, the The Mail on Sunday reported that Wadee was freed in June after serving around three months, under the government’s early release scheme to ease overcrowding in prisons. He was recalled in early July for breaching license conditions, but has now been released again, and is staying at a bail hostel and wearing an electronic tag.
Gideon Falter, chief executive of the Campaign Against Antisemitism group said: ‘The Home Office owes the public answers, and given the potential threat, we need them now.
‘British Jews can see that from Manchester to Sydney, the intifada has been well and truly globalised. The authorities need to get a grip – we are out of time.’
