An advice bureau helping members of the Jewish community with legal, financial and welfare issues has appointed three new experienced professionals to help with its hugely increased workload.

Paperweight said it was welcoming Caroline Kahan, Eve Curtis and Michelle Rosenberg to its team after the coronavirus pandemic led to a surge in calls from families following a bereavement, job loss or eviction.

“Demand has grown dramatically because of the pandemic, so I’m delighted by these three fantastic appointments,” said the charity’s chief executive Bayla Perrin.

Kahan has previously worked at both Barnet Citizens Advice and Dacorum Citizens Advice, Curtis had a senior social care role at Hertfordshire County Council, and Rosenberg is a women’s historian who formerly worked at UJIA.
