Peer knocked out of Australian Open doubles

Israeli interest at this year’s Australian Open was ended on Tuesday morning after Shahar Peer was beaten in the quarter-finals of the women’s doubles.

Teaming up with Silvia Soler-Espinoza, the Israeli-Spanish duo were defeated in straight sets, 4-6, 0-6 by American duo Raquel Kops-Jones and Abigail Spears.
