IN PICTURES: BICOM’s 13th annual dinner

Ambassadors rubbed shoulders with shadow foreign secretaries, chief rabbis and Nobel Prize winners in central London this week, as pro-Israel media and advocacy organisation BICOM hosted its 13th annual dinner.

Over 400 guests piled into Lancaster Hotel to hear from Israeli Ambassador Daniel Taub, Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis, Shadow Foreign Secretary Douglas Alexander and Nobel Peace Prize winner Lord Trimble.

“We are celebrating a Bar Mitzvah: 13 years of BICOM’s existence,” said Taub, who added that the organisation “recognised challenges to the legitimacy of Israel need to be faced with the same seriousness, professionalism and passion as the threats on its borders”.

Capping the evening, BICOM President Poju Zabludowicz presented co-founder Isaac Kaye with a sculpture entitled ‘Peace’ by Ilana Fattal in special recognition of his hard work and dedication over many years.
