Police are investigating six swastikas reportedly discovered on posts n Stanmore Common Nature Trail.

The Met Police confirmed investigations are ongoing but no arrests have been made.

A spokesperson for the force said: “At around 8pm on May 4, police were made aware of antisemitic graffiti in Stanmore Common.”

The graffiti was reported to the Met Police by Jacey Harris on Saturday evening, a dog walker who frequents the site regularly.

Harris says she had not been to Stanmore Common over Pesach, walking her dog in a different park instead, but noticed at least six swastikas on posts on Saturday.

It was the third time graffiti of the Nazi symbol were sighted along the nature trail in the past year.

The appearance of several swastikas on posts at the site were also reported to the Met Police in March and October and painted over.

“As fast as they are removed, they are being replaced,” she said. “Pity they don’t use anti graffiti paint on all posts or just paint the posts black.”
